Horses Birthday Celebrations

The Bendigo Jockey Club is hosting the Horse's Birthday raceday on Sunday 1 August and to help all horses celebrate the club will host the inaugural, Horses Birthday cake making competition.
Schools and individuals are encouraged to make a cake to help us celebrate the Horse's Birthday. Decorate your cake to reflect the finest Birthday celebration to WIN! For those of you who are stuck for ideas renowned Celebrity Chef, Guy Grossi has supplied a delicious recipe for a Pistachio and Cherry Cake, complete with photos. The entry judged to be the best on the day will win a sort after day's work experience at Guy's famous Melbourne restaurant, Grossi Florentino's.
Club CEO Ian Hart said “It's all about a bit of fun and to recognise the designated birthday of all thoroughbred horses. It's the club's way of celebrating the event on the coinciding raceday”.
Entries will be judged by the club's new catering chef Brendan Tuddenham on the day. All you have to do is bring along your cake on the raceday and two complimentary raceday tickets will be provided to every entrant.
